Hi, I'm Shannon and I live in Rutland, Vermont with my husband Tom, our two boys Finnegan and Declan and our golden retriever Ubu. This blog is all about the great things that Rutland and Vermont in general has to offer.

I have to admit that I have not always loved Rutland, in fact I desperately wanted to move back to upstate New York the first three years we lived here. We've now been here for 5.5 years and I'm happy to say we've decided to make the Rutland area our forever home. We first fell in love with the slow paced Vermont lifestyle and then slowly but surely have fallen in love with the amazing community that is Rutland. Because the truth is, the people of Rutland changed my mind and are the sole reason I now want to raise our boys here. The Rutland community always rallies and has always been accepting of us transplant flat landers in a way that makes me feel like I'm home and always have been.

Here are just a few things I love that make me, me: running, craft beer, Mexican food, Instagram, Swiss chard, coffee with lots of milk, ice cream and pizza. I'm also a vegetarian as is Tom and our boys by default. We love to be outdoors, take family runs, make pizza at least three times a week and plan our vacations around races and breweries!
